2.1 earthquake recorded in Fang

Another day of seismic activity in the north with a new small earthquake recorded in Fang.

The new earthquake registered at 2.1 on the Richter scale and hit yesterday, Feb. 14 at 7:24 p.m. at 19.84 N, 99.15 E – Tambon Mae Sun, not far from Chiang Mai – Fang Road (Highway 107).

To the north, a 2.3 earthquake was recorded in Myanmar today, Feb. 15 at 2:32 a.m., Mong Hsat, Shan State only 70 kilometers from Fang and likely on the same fault line.

The new earthquakes follow a 2.5 recorded in Chiang Mai Feb. 13. also on the same fault line.
