30-year-old dead after crashing motorcycle at high speed in Saraphi

A 30-year-old man has died after crashing his motorcycle at high speed in Saraphi last night, Dec. 17.

The accident occurred on the Outer Ring Road (Highway 121) outside of Mu Ban Rinrada 3 in Pa Bong at around 8:05 p.m.

The deceased was identified as Mr. Thayot Thitamornphongphongsri from Mae Sariang in Mae Hong Son. There were no witnesses to the crash with the assumption being, given the impact that he has lost control of the motorcycle while speeding along the road. The motorcycle wasn’t registered and Mr. Thitamornphongphongsri wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Police are investigating. The body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy before being release to relatives for funeral rites.
