A train heading to Bangkok from Chiang Mai struck and killed a woman on a bridge in Phitsanulok last night, April 22.
The accident occurred at on the Sapaan Daam bridge in Moo 1 Tambon Bang Krathum, Amphoe Bang Krathum at 11:40 pm.
According to reports, the 108 service was heading south over the bridge when it struck the woman who was crossing the tracks at the time.
The train stopped shortly after the accident.
The woman had no ID on her with locals being unable to identify her. She’s believed to be around 45 years of age.
It’s unknown whether the woman saw the train approaching or not but Thai language media did note that the bridge is dark at night at that trains do travel at high speed across it.
