Chiang Mai Zoo welcomes three baby capybara’s

Chiang Mai Zoo’s latest attraction is three baby capybara’s.

The animals, a mammal native to South America is the largest living rodent in the world as can grow to as large as a Saint Bernard dog – that is, to say, large, up to 66 kilograms in weight and 64 centimeters in height.

The three babies – one male and two female, bring the number of capybara’s at the zoo to six in total, the original three having come to the zoo, located in Suthep, from an animal facility from Khon Kaen Zoo in 2016.
