Som Tam restaurant in Santitham raided for illegal gambling operation

The crackdown on gambling in Chiang Mai continues with military officers, police and municipal representatives raiding a Som Tam restaurant in Santitham, Mueang Chiang Mai.

The restaurant was founded to be running games of Hi-Lo (also known as Sic Bo) in a room at the rear of the building.

TNews doesn’t say how many people were arrested but given the pictures there would have been at least six people arrested, along with the owner of the establishment, named only as Mr. Suwat, 45-years-old from Suthep. 1,220 baht was also seized along with the gambling equipment itself.

All those arrested have been detained ahead of a future court appearance.
