Three Myanmar nationals were arrested after being found working illegally on a building site near McCormick Hospital in Wat Ket yesterday, Aug. 27.
The arrest took place following a joint investigation with the Department of Education, Department of Foreign Affairs, Chiang Mai Police and Mae Ping Police.
The three men arrested were named as Mr. Sai Nom Mein, 28, Mr. Sai Myint Aung, 30 and Mr. Ait Nyi Sai Sen, 21.
All three were charged with working in the Kingdom without a work permit and failing to register as foreign laborers, a requirement for workers coming from Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
All three are expected to be deported and possibly banned from returning to Thailand.
