Cyclist killed in suspected hit and run in San Kamphaeng

The body of a cyclist was found dead following a suspected hit and run in San Kamphaeng yesterday, July 4.

The accident occurred in Ban Pa Cha Mu, Moo 8 Ton Pao with the discovery made at around 7 a.m.

The body of Mr. Apichart Chaisri, 49 was found in a ditch by the side of the road along with a mangled bicycle and a “red native dog” nearby watching the body.

Mr. Chaisiri, originally from Mae Taeng, is said to be living with a friend in the area and would take a bike ride most mornings accompanied by a number of local dogs.

There were no witnesses to the accident but the damage to the bike was consistent with it being struck by a vehicle.

Police are said to be investigating.
