Farangs praised for helping soldier injured in Chiang Dao traffic accident

Two unidentified farangs are being praised after they assisted a solder involved in an traffic accident in Chiang Dao yesterday, Sept. 3.

The accident occurred in Tambon Chiang Dao, Chiang Dao District at around 1:10 p.m.

A white Isuzu had parked at the side of the road with the driver opening the vehicle door just as the soldier was passing by on his motorcycle, the solder riding directly into the door.

The two farangs, one male and one female, possibly in their early to mid-20s witnessed the crash and immediately came to assist the soldier, waiting with him until emergency services workers arrived.

According to reports, social media praised the generosity of the two farangs for sticking around and generously waiting with the injured soldier. Notably, and perhaps reflective of how some farangs are seen by Thais, one quote said that “although they were tourists, they created a good impression.”
