A fire in a famous khao soi restaurant in Chang Phueak early this morning, Feb. 20 is estimated to have caused 10 million baht in damage.
The fire broke out at the Khao Soi Lamduan 2 Restaurant on the Superhighway near the Khuang Sing Intersection (Highway 107) just after 1 a.m.
10 fire trucks were deployed to the scene to tackle the fire in the four-story building taking more than one hour to bring it under control.
Fortunately, the restaurant was closed at the time and hence no one was injured.
The fire is believed to have started in a kitchen on the ground floor before spreading to the rest of the building. A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
