A 15-year-old has died after riding a motorcycle into a roadside sign in San Pa Tong early this morning, Jan. 6.
The accident happened on Ban Klang at around 1:30 a.m.
There were no witnesses to the accident with the 15-year-old riding his black, unregistered Honda MSX motorcycle directly into the sign. He didn’t die immediately but later in San Pa Tong Hospital.
Police believe that the deceased kid was likely driving the motorcycle at high speed and given the road was dark could not see where he was going, driving into the roadside sign instead.
The body was transported from San Pa Tong Hospital to Maharaj Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy prior to being released to relatives for funeral rites.
