The earth is shaking the northern part of Lampang Province again with 19 earthquakes recorded in Wang Nuea District since 12 a.m. yesterday, March 13.
The first earthquake, a 1.6 on the Richter scale, struck at 12:40 a.m. at 19.28 N 99.62 E – Tambon Wang Kaeo, Wang Nuea.
Subsequent earthquakes followed peaking with a 4.1 at 12:04 a.m. this morning, March 14 at 19.24 N 99.63 E – Tambon Thung Hua, Wang Nuea.
Reports suggest that the 4.1 earthquake was felt as far away as Phayao, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.
As of 12:40 p.m. today the earthquakes were continuing, with 13 since the 4.1 ranging between 1.3 and 2.7.
A 4.9 earthquake struck the same area Feb. 20.
