After a three day lull another earthquake has been recorded in the north, this time a slightly larger one in Omkoi.
The 2.7 on the Richter scale earthquake hit at 3:13 p.m. this afternoon, Sept. 6 at 17.617 N 98.201 E – Tambon Sop Khong not far from the Tak and Myanmar borders.
The earthquake was close to where two earthquakes were recorded in Omkoi in August – a 2.9 on Aug 23. at 17.564 N 98.233 E and a 2.1 Aug. 24 at 17.577 N 98.177 E.
The latest earthquake follows a 1.8 recorded in San Sai Sept. 3.
