200,000 yaba tablets seized as drug mules intercepted in Chiang Dao

Royal Thai Army soldiers have seized 200,000 yaba tablets are a group of drug mules were intercepted in Chiang Dao Dec. 28.

The intercept and seizure occurred while soldiers were on patrol in a forested area of Muang Na at around 8:50 p.m.

As these stories always play out, the soldiers confronted the drug mules who subsequently fled the scene, some dropping their drugs in the process.

The 200,000 yaba tablets were in two sacks along with a small amount of ice described as a “rainbow-type” amphetamine believed to have come from the Wa Tai smuggling group in Myanmar.

The drugs were taken to a nearby police station.
