37-year-old man dies after crashing motorcycle into a concrete barrier in Saraphi

A 37-year-old man has died after crashing his motorcycle into a concrete barrier in Saraphi early this morning, Nov. 29.

The accident happened on Outer Ring Road (Highway 121) near the Pa Khe Bridge in Nong Phueang at around 2 a.m.

The deceased rider was named as Kriangkrai Kosol Yuen from Udon Thani Province.

Police believe that Mr. Yuen, new to Chiang Mai was riding home to his residence in Nong Phueang at high speed when, not being familiar with the area and road, misjudged a curve on the Outer Ring Road, has lost control and hit the concrete barrier in the middle of the road.

He appears to have not been wearing a helmet.

The body was taken to the forensic department at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
