40-year-old woman dead in Lamphun motorcycle accident

A woman had died after coming off her motorcycle in Lamphun yesterday, Oct. 30.

The accident occurred on Lamphun – San Pa Tong Road outside a PTT outlet in Rimping, Mueang Lamphun at a around 3:55 p.m.

The unnamed woman, aged 40, was treated for injuries at the scene but died later in Lamphun Hospital due to what were described as “toxic wounds.”

The cause of the accident is unclear. Photos from the scene would indicate that she may have crashed the bike herself or alternatively she may have been hit by vehicle that subsequently fled the scene.
