43 people were arrested overnight, April 7-8 for being caught outside after 10 p.m. on day five of the coronavirus curfew.
The majority of curfew breakers – 15 were caught in Mueang by Mueang Chiang Mai Police, Mae Ping Police, Chang Phueak Police and Phuping Ratchaniwet Police.
Four arrests were made by Phrao Police, two by Mae Taeng Police while one person was arrested by both Samoeng and Nong Tong Police.
A notable number of those arrested for breaking the curfew were also drunk.
The figure is the lowest level on the coronavirus curfew curve since arrests peaked at 58 two nights ago.
Anyone caught breaching the curfew is being fined 1,500 baht and is being imprisoned for 15 days. Upon release, they are then subject to seven day home detention and a one year probation period.
