A 62-year-old man has died after being hit by an 18-wheel truck while riding his motorcycle in Chiang Dao yesterday, July 22.
The accident happened at the Mueang Ngai – Arunthai Intersection in Tambon Mueang Ngai at around 3 p.m.
The deceased man, Mr. Paisan Sripook from Ping Khong, Chiang Dao, was said to be driving his motorcycle at a “reasonable speed” prior to the accident occurring.
No one saw what exactly caused the accident but it’s believed that perhaps Mr. Sripook has attempted to overtake a vehicle in front but in doing so has managed to verge into the path of the truck.
Police are said to be investigating.
