Brother confesses to murder of Australian/British man and Thai wife in Phrae

The brother of a woman who was killed along with her Australian/British husband has confessed to their murder after being arrested by police in Phrae overnight.

Warun Watanasatjakit, 63, confessed to hiring two other men for 50,000 baht to kill Alan Hogg, 64, and his wife, Nott Suddaen 61 on Tuesday last week.

As reported yesterday, the bodies of the couple were recovered from a grave on their property in Moo 6 Chorhae, Mueang Phrae.

Mr. Watanasatjakit told police that he had arranged the murder as he “resented being scolded by the couple.”

According to reports, one of those hired to murder the couple, Pia Khamsai shot Hogg as he was leaving the house to feed his ducks, while another man, Kittipong Khamwan, 24 restrained Suddaen while Watanasatjakit delivered a fatal blow to his sister’s head with a spanner.

All three have been charged with premeditated murder.
