A 42-year-old man has been jailed for 15 days after he was found in the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary on April 13.
Mr. Rewat Sing Kham was caught in the forest by a forestry patrol who was in the area looking for people starting fires.
He was found in possession of one backpack, six bottles of wild honey and one lighter.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of illegally entering a wildlife sanctuary. Along with the 15 day sentence, he was also fined 3,000 baht and will be on one year probation upon release.
