The Chiang Mai Municipality has started urgent works on the Chiang Mai moat to fix a number of holes along with undertaking general repairs and beautification works.
The works are taking place between the Somphet Market at the northeast side of the moat in Si Phum south past the Thapae Gate to the Loi Kroh Road turnoff in Phra Singh.
To undertake the work, the water level must be reduced to allow workers to obtain access to the parts of the retaining walls that need to be repaired.
The work started yesterday, Sept. 24 and will run through to Yi Peng in November. The municipality for any inconvenience or unattractiveness during the works.
