China Airlines to start new Taipei – Chiang Mai service in June

Taiwan carrier China Airlines is set to be the latest airline to service Chiang Mai with a new service to Taipei starting June 23.

The service will connect Chang Mai International Airport with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport with a four times a week return service.

The flights will run Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday leaving Taipei at 7:30 a.m. local time before arriving in Chiang Mai at 10:20 a.m. The return service departs CNX at 11:20 a.m. landing back in TPE at 4:35 p.m. The airline will use a Boeing 737-800 on the service

The decision is part of a push the airline to provide services to popular tourist destinations.

China Airways joins EVA Airways and AirAsia in flying the CNX – TPE route.
