COVID-19 Vaccination Thailand

The government’s Mor Prom (“Doctors Ready”) platform can’t accept any more bookings for COVID-19 vaccinations in June, as all available slots have been allocated, according to an announcement on its Facebook page.

Online registration for vaccinations through the application was opened to those over the age of 60, as well as people suffering from underlying health conditions outlined by the government. Those who have successfully booked their appointment will receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is due to arrive in June.

Individuals aged between 18-59 will be invited to register for a jab at the end of this month through Mor Prom.

As of yesterday, the total number of people who have registered for a jab reached 6.06 million. Of them, 700,671 people have registered in Bangkok and the rest in other provinces.

Those wishing to be vaccinated can register through the app, or through Line chat. Registration can also be done in-person through health volunteers and hospitals.

The total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 late yesterday had reached 2.24 million people, of whom 1.46 million have received a single dose while 779,388 have received two jabs.

Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the Department of Disease Control, revealed that more than 1.1 million doses out of the 2.5 million available, had been used to inoculate front-line officials and village health volunteers.
