A deaf 48-year-old woman has died after she was hit by a truck on Phrae yesterday, June 5.
The accident happened near the Ban Huay Khon intersection in Huai Mai, Song District at around 7:45 am.
According to witnesses, the victim, Miss Patcharin Minalin had picked up her disability allowance at Wat Huay Khon and upon exiting the Wat has ridden directly into the side of a Nan-registered Isuzu trailer-truck.
Her body is said to have been crushed by the right-rear wheel of the truck.
The truck driver, Mr. Ekarat Kit Samut, 35 said that the first he new of the accident is when he heard the motorcycle strike the right hand side of the truck.
Locals said that there were constant accidents on the road as it’s a main path through to Nan Province.
