Driver injured as truck carrying tobacco overturns in Saraphi

A driver has been injured after his truck carrying tobacco overturned in Saraphi yesterday, April 27.

The accident occurred on the Outer Ring Road (Highway 121) near 7-Eleven Chai Sathan at around 4 p.m.

The unnamed driver was transporting tobacco from Sukhothai to a processing plant in Saraphi when the accident occurred. The accident itself is said to be due to brake failure.

The driver was taken to Saraphi hospital. There were minor traffic delays in the area with the truck not being removed for several hours due to the need to source a large enough removal crane.
