A drunk man fishing drowned in a waterway in Hang Dong last night, Feb. 4.
The incident took place in Moo 7 Tambon Hang Dong, Hang Dong District with the body found at around 8:30 p.m.
The deceased, Mr. Rattaphong Panasala, 42 had left earlier in the day after “drinking heavily” to go fishing with his wife raising the alarm when he failed to return home.
With no witnesses, it’s believed he may have either fallen into the water or purposes went into the water to retrieve a fish then was unable to get out.
Surprisingly the body wasn’t take for an autopsy but instead was handed directly to relatives for funeral rites.
