Elephant kills man who was playing music loudly in San Sai

A 68-year-old man who was playing music loudly was killed by an elephant this morning, April 16 in San Sai.

The incident occurred in a vegetable garden in Moo 1 Mae Faek at around 11 a.m.

The victim, Mr Sa-at, also known as “Uncle Rod” was pumping water into his vegetable garden with music playing loudly when an elephant on a nearby block of land charged and stomped him to death.

It’s believed that the elephant, due to extreme heat and loud noise from the radio became manic and attacked the victim.

Locals are apparently requesting that the elephants be removed from the area due to safety concerns.
