Human remains of an unknown origin were discovered by locals in Hang Dong yesterday July 11.
The skeletal remains were discovered in a forested area of Moo 4 Nam Phrae at around 5:30 p.m.
The remains were found scattered in a 4-5 meter radius with no other evidence at the scene. Some bite marks on the remains suggested that dogs or other wild animals had chewed on the bones, accounting for the fact that they had been scattered.
There was no immediate indication of the sex or cause of death. The remains were gathered to be taken to hospital for a forensic examination and DNA test. Police are said to be checking records of missing people in the area as well in an attempt to narrow down the origin of the remains.
