An elderly woman has been rescued from a khlong – a Thai irrigation canal in Saraphi after crashing her bike in Saraphi yesterday, July 16.
The woman, named only as Mrs. Aroon, 63 and also known as “Aunt Porn” was driving along on her 125 cc blue Honda Dream in Moo 6 Don Kaeo when she lost control and ended up in the khlong along with her scooter 2-3 meters below road level.
The khlong itself was described as being full of mud, making Mrs. Aroon’s rescue more difficult.
Mrs. Aroon was taken to Saraphi Hospital where she was treated for a broken wrist.
