Man arrested for growing three marijuana trees in Hot

A 59-year-old man has been arrested following a police raid that discovered three marijuana trees at the rear of his home in Hot District yesterday, Oct. 1.

The trees, which were described as each being around two meters tall were found at the home in Moo 8 Bo Luang at around 12 p.m.

The homeowner, Mr. Tipp Pukkham was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with growing a Category 5 drug (cannabis) without permission and possession of a Category 5 drug (cannabis) without permission.

Notably, Mr. Pukkham told police that he did not smoke the plants but used the plants for cooking.

Bo Luang Police reminded people that despite some recent marijuana reforms growing the plants remains illegal.
