A 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday, April 13 after he was discovered by police to be selling alcohol in breach of the Chiang Mai Province alcohol ban.
The arrest took place at the “Happy Store” on Mueang Samut Road in Chang Moi at around 9 p.m.
The owner of the shop, Mr. Han Lungsoo from Myanmar was charged with being in violation Emergency Government Act 2005, according to the order of the Communicable Disease Committee of Chiang Mai Province No. 11/2563 regarding the closing of a place or area for selling liquor or all kinds of alcoholic beverages.
For the bonus round, he was also charged with working in an occupation outside of that allowed by an alien.
Chang Phueak Police said they were moving ahead with legal proceedings.
