Phuping Ratchaniwet Police have arrested a man on animal cruelty charges after he adopted than killed 12 kittens in Chiang Mai.
The story was first highlighted by the Watchdog Thailand Foundation Wednesday following a report from a member of the public that the accused, an employee at a university in Choeng Doi, Doi Saket had adopted a kitten and then killed it.
The unnamed man was subsequently arrested and confessed to killing 12 kittens he had adopted. He said that he had been stressed and unable to control himself.
He’s been charged on animal cruelty offenses. It’s not clear whether he has been detained in custody but police did say that they would prosecute him to the full extent of the law.
