A 54-year-old man has died after being hit by a sedan in San Phi Suea late last night, Dec. 31.
The accident occurred on the Middle Ring Road (3029) near Thanawan Village at 11:43 p.m.
The rider, Mr. Wadiboon Prapakul from Sop Moei in Mae Hong Son was attempting to do a u-turn when he was struck by a sedan traveling in the right-hand lane.
While police are investigating it’s believed that Mr. Prapakul had decided to approach the u-turn from the left-hand side of the road, riding directly into the path of the sedan in the process, the sedan having no chance to avoid the accident.
The body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
