Motorcyclist dies after riding into parked truck at high speed in Phrae

A motorcyclist has died after driving into a parked truck at high speed in Phrae Saturday night.

The accident happened on Wang Chin-Thoen Road, Moo 7 Tambon Wang Chin, Wang Chin District just before midnight.

According to reports, a group of people described as “teenagers” were racing when one of their group has hit the truck.

The truck driver, Mr. Ampol Hanpin, 29, said he had pulled over at the side of the road due to heavy rain and poor visibility. Around five minutes after being parked he heard a crash at the back of his truck, subsequently finding the crashed motorcycle and deceased rider.

The other “teenagers” in the group are said to have fled the scene.

Police are investigating.
