Myanmar man arrested for starting fire in Chang Phueak, was also here illegally

A Myanmar man was arrested for starting a fire in Baan Thiam Porn, Chang Phueak yesterday, Feb. 18 with police also discovering that he was in the country illegally.

The accused man wasn’t named but was described as 44-years-old and Tai Yai by police.

He was charged with violating the order of the provincial director preventing all types of open burning. For the bonus round, he was also charged with living in the Kingdom without permission.

The fire itself was brought under control by a Chiang Mai Provincial Organization fire truck sometime later.
