A newborn baby was found abandoned outside a shop in Santitham early yesterday, March 29.
The baby was discovered by a drunk man outside a pork shop on Soi Marakoi close to the Santitham Intersection at 6:30 a.m.
The newborn was found wrapped in a red towel and was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for physical examination.
There were no witnesses to the baby being abandoned with police checking CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the child’s mother and to prosecute her.
