A wildlife official has died after he was struck by a truck while riding his motorcycle in Chang Dao last night, Feb. 14.
The accident occurred on Chiang Mai – Fang Road (Highway 107) near the Mon Chom Doi Resort in Tambon Chang Dao, Amphoe Chang Dao.
The deceased, Mr. Khao Bang, 55, was heading home from work on his Honda Wave when he was struck from behind by a 10-wheel Toyota Hino truck.
Emergency services were quick to the scene and attempted to revive Mr. Bang before rushing him to hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
According to reports, the accident was caused by a “dark road” and the truck driver not seeing the deceased on his motorcycle.
Police are investigating.
