A man has died after he drove his BMW sedan at high speed into a power pole on the Superhighway in Saraphi early this morning, April 18.
The accident happened opposite the Unity Concord International School in Nong Phueng.
Reports are somewhat confused with some suggestion that the driver may have been trying to avoid a motorcycle and then lost control be it while traveling at an extremely high speed.
The deceased was named as Mr. Kosin Phirojthirachar, 36 from Nai Mueang, Mueang Lamphun.
It took rescue workers 20-minutes to cut Mr. Phirojthirachar’s body out of the vehicle.
Police are said to be investigating.
