One man has died and another was injured after the motorcycle they were on crashed into a guardrail in Lamphun early this morning, Feb. 13.
The accident happened on Lamphun – Pa Sang Road (Highway 106) near Wat Panta Ta in Ton Thong, Mueang Lamphun at around 12:50 a.m.
The deceased was named as Mr. Vithan Thungmung, 43 from Si Tia, Ban Hong District. Notably, he was a passenger on the motorcycle.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle was being ridden at high speed when the rider lost control on a bend, crashing into the guardrail and flinging both himself and Mr. Thungmung 10-15 meters from the crash scene in the process.
Police are investigating given the rider did survive the accident.
