A 61-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was on was struck by a pickup truck in San Kamphaeng early this morning, Dec. 23.
The accident occurred on Chiang Mai – San Kamphaeng Road (Highway 1006) in Ban Dong Khi Lek, Moo 4 Chae Chang at around 1 p.m.
The deceased, Mr. Phairat Manee Kieng from Moo 5 Chae Chang was traveling along the road when he was struck from behind by a black Isuzu pickup truck.
The section of road where the accident occurred is described as being dark with little lighting with the pickup truck simply not seeing the motorcycle before the accident.
Police are investigating.
