One man has died following a gas tank explosion in a house in Moo 3, Nong Phueng, Saraphi Saturday evening, June 23.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found the house badly damaged by the explosion along with the body of Mr. Warapong Ratanakul, 32, a resident of the house
While the cause of the explosion is not yet confirmed, police believe that the gas bottle may have been tampered with by Mr. Ratanakul either in an attempt to make a bomb or to intentionally blow himself up.
The deceased was wanted by police on theft charges and apparently had been experiencing work issues leading police to consider that the explosion may have been suicide.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the explosion while Mr. Ratanakul’s body was sent to Nakornping Hospital for an autopsy.
