One person has died and another person was injured after a pickup truck hit a motorcycle in Chom Thong last night, Dec. 4.
The accident occurred on Chiang Mai – Hot Road (Highway 108) in Ban Thet, Ban Pae at around 8 p.m.
The decease woman on the motorcycle was named as Miss Surata Bua Phuan, 33 from Lamphun while the person injured, the driver of the pickup truck, Miss Thida Mangkala, 34 was taken to Hot District Hospital.
According to witnesses, Miss Phuan was heading home and was struck by the pickup truck which traveling at high speed. There’s some suggestion that the motorcycle may have turned in front of the pickup truck but that’s not currently clear.
Police are investigating CCTV footage and are waiting to question the pickup truck driver for consider which charges should be made.
