One person has died and another was injured when a motorcycle crashed in Saraphi early this morning, April 16.
The accident occurred on the Superhighway in Pa Bong at around 1:55 a.m.
According to reports, a man and woman were returning home after celebrating Songkran in Chiang Mai when the man has lost control of the motorcycle in the roadwork section in the southern part of Saraphi, flinging them both off the bike.
It’s believed the motorcycle was being ridden at high speed at the time the accident occurred.
The male, who was taken to hospital, was only described as being between 25-35 years-old with abrasions while the deceased was described as a woman from Myanmar, also 25-35.
Both are described as living in Moo 13 Makhuea Chae, Mueang Lamphun which is where they were likely heading at the time of the accident.
Police are said to be investigating.
