A Myanmar man was killed and his girlfriend seriously injured after they were run over by a 10-wheel truck in Hang Dong yesterday, July 17.
The accident happened on Nam Ping Road in ban Tha Makko, Moo 8 Khun Khong at around midday.
The deceased man, Mr. Pui Lee, 21 and his girlfriend, Miss Nan Khamsein, 25 were heading towards the Ton Thong Floating Market on a Honda 110 cc motorcycle when Mr. Lee unexpectedly slammed on the brakes, causing the bike to cross into the path of a truck traveling in the opposite direction.
Mr. Lee was described as having “lost his head” while Miss Khamsein was taken to Hang Dong Hospital. Mr. Lee’s body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
