Second man arrested over murder of homeless man in Wat Ket

Mae Ping Police have arrested a second man in relation to the murder of a homeless man found dead in an abandoned Wat Ket building Oct. 8.

The body of Mr. Paiboon Pholkote, 65, an antique dealer from Loei was found by locals in the building with multiple stab wounds consistent with being murdered.

Police initially arrested Mr. Pravit Koteng, 47 from Khon Kaen Oct. 9 in relation to the murder are we looking for a suspect known as Mr. Pu.

Mr. Pu turned out to be Mr. Boonsong Jai Ai, 38 from Mae Suai, Chiang Rai and was successfully arrested yesterday, Oct. 10 after fleeing to Chiang Rai on a bus.

As is tradition, both men were transported to the scene of the crime where they were forced to recreate the murder per the picture above.

As was previously reported, the motivation for the murder was the victim sleeping with Mr. Jai Ai’s wife.
