Seven injured as pickup truck plows into parked cars in Lampang

Seven people, including kids, were injured after a pickup truck plowed into parked cars in Lampang yesterday, April 16.

The accident happened on Sai Thoen – Lampang Road, Mueang Lampang at around 3 p.m.

A number vehicles, including a pickup truck with kids in the rear playing Songkran were parked outside of the Thoen Park resort when another pickup truck, driven by Mr. Sanguan Panyut struck the vehicles at speed.

The pickup truck carrying the kids was flipped onto its side while other vehicles at the scene – seven in total, were damaged.

Those injured were named as Mr. Sanguan Puntho, 56, Supichaya Phueakkhamsao, 14 years, Mr. Viroj Ounkanatha, 44, Riphon Ounkanata, 13, Mrs. Sommai Ounkanatha, 44, Supisara Tachanadda, 11 and Kittikorn Manoping, 12.

Thai language media did mention the cause of the accident, saying only that police are investigating.
