Another day, another small earthquake in the north with the latest in San Pa Tong.
The earthquake, a 1.8 on the Richter scale struck at 10:24 a.m. this morning, Aug. 29 at 18.574 N 98.889 E – at the entrance to a moo baan in Makham Luang.
The earthquake is the latest to be recorded in Chiang Mai Province with three recorded at the weekend – a 2.9 and 2.1 in Omkoi and a 1.7 in Phrao.
While the north hasn’t bean as seismically active as it was in March there has been a notable uptick in the number of earthquakes recorded in August.
