Three people have died after an ambulance rushing a patient from an earlier car accident to hospital hit a power pole in Phayao Saturday evening, April 13.
The accident happened at around 9 p.m. in Moo 9 Don Si Chum, Dok Khamtai District.
Two of those killed were in the front of the ambulance – Mr. Kittinan Rachanate, 26, Mr. Panya Mai Kham, age unknown.
The patient in the rear of the ambulance, Mr. Worawit Intavicha, 20 died later in hospital. A third emergency worker was described by Thai media as only being injured without further details.
It’s believed the ambulance was heading to hospital at high speed when it has lost control and plowed in the electricity pole.
The three deaths took Phayao’s death toll to Songkran to four as of Saturday night.
