Three illegal immigrants were arrested after they were detected at a checkpoint in Hang Dong yesterday, Sept. 5.
The men were detected at the checkpoint which was in operation on the Outer Ring Road (Highway 121) in Tambon San Phak Wan between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
25 cars, 10 motorcycles and six trucks were inspected at the checkpoint with police also arresting a fourth person for using drugs.
The three illegal immigrants, likely from Myanmar, were charged with living in the Kingdom illegally as well as “helping conceal or helping in a way for aliens to flee the city illegally to avoid arrest.”
All four men were detained in custody pending court hearings.
