Three people murdered in Chiang Rai home

Three people – a husband, wife and daughter were founded murdered in a home in Chiang Rai this morning, Dec. 2.

The bodies were found in the home in Moo 3 Ban Du, Mueang Chiang Rai by Mr. Pattanaphong Pho Ket, Mayor of Tambon Ban Du who had gone to check on the husband after he didn’t turn up to work.

The victims were named as Mr. Udom Kimsi, 57 the owner of the house and a revenue collection officer for Tambon Ban Du, Mrs. Nutcha Kimsi, 51 his wife and Miss Saowarot Kimsi, 26, the daughter.

All three bodies, which are believed to have been dead in the house since Nov. 28 had gunshot wounds. Notably, there was no weapon found at the scene.

Neighbors told police that they heard gunshots on the evening of Nov. 28 but did not think it was anything serious and did not pay any more attention.

The motive is currently unknown although police are seeking a Mr. Nuan, 27 from Mae Chan, Chiang Rai who is believed to have been dating the daughter. Relatives told police that he had acted inappropriately with her previously.
