Two people picking seeds at the side of a road have died after being struck by a pickup truck that was involved in an accident in Phrae yesterday, March 24.
The accident happened on Phrae-Long Road at the four-kilometer mark in Ban Nam Cham, Moo 2 Pa Maet, Mueang Phrae at around 11:50 a.m.
According to reports, two pickup trucks have crashed with one then driving head-on into a husband and wife picking seeds at the side of the road.
The victims were named as Mr. Sombat Damkaew, 54 and his unnamed wife.
Police found a broom, a plastic bucket, teak seeds and a wheelbarrow at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing with charges expected to be laid.
